Somerset Chamber held their latest networking event on Tuesday 22nd January at the Battleborough Grange hotel at Brent Knoll. It was a night to remember for more than just great networking with white-knuckle trips home for some members living in rural parts of Somerset!
Very heavy snow fell over Somerset just as we, and fellow Chamber members, were discussing business, among other things, over a superb 3 course dinner.
Some 40 odd businesses had daunting journeys back home in snow that was 7 to 12cm deep on many roads. Many side roads were impassable. Our journey on the M5 back to Taunton was down to one lane with drivers carefully following in each other’s tyre treads.
However, as ever, it was another great business event and we met some very interesting people.
We took the opportunity to informally announce our new smartphone app, Pro Golf Analyzer. The app records distances golfers have hit their ball, stores them in a database for display on the phone or on the www.progolfanalyzer.com website which gives an impressive aerial view of the round we call Bird’s Eye View. This is the perfect way golfers can show their golf buddies just how far they truly hit their ball … but beware it records bad shots as well!
The app is free to download from Google Play. There is no need to download golf course files in advance. It works for any golf course worldwide using advanced GPS technology in conjunction with Google Maps.
Pro Golf Analyzer (PGA) has been fully developed by Somerset Web Services in conjunction with QWS, our sister Software Development company in Taunton.
