Nominet has been contacting owners of .co.uk domain names regarding their rights to the equivalent .uk domains.
The rights to the .uk domains have been automatically reserved by Nominet for them since their launch of this new TLD (Top Level Domain) in 2014 but now that is due to end.
These rights are due to expire on the 25th June 2019. After this date any remaining .uk domains will be made available to the general public on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
Further background information about it and a tool to check your entitlement for yourself are available on their website.
If you’d like to know more about this Nominet announcement or would like to make sure your .uk domain is secured for you please contact us and we can provide you with help.
