Microsoft have recently announced the development of their Office 2013 software.
One of the key aims of the software is to work perfectly across multiple devices – including touch, stylus, mouse, and keyboard.
Office 2013 will be run as a cloud service, and is expected to provide advanced functionality when paired with Windows 8.
As Office will save documents onto a cloud server, a user’s content, personalised settings and templates will always be available to them, regardless of whether they’re using their tablet, PC or phone.
The software is also expected to integrate with social media sites, and also with Skype.
Although Microsoft have not yet announced their pricing strategy, Office 2013 will have three new versions – Home Premium, Small Business Premium, and ProPlus. There will also be an online version of Office – called Office 365.
