Microsoft unveiled two models of its Surface tablet last week creating quite a buzz in the tablet marketplace.
The tablets will be launched with the much anticipated Windows 8 operating system and with Microsoft’s connections in the hardware business we are expecting great things!
Somerset Web Services has several years’ experience in creating Microsoft .Net desktop applications, web applications and more recently Windows Phone 7 applications. We are excited at both the prospect of creating Windows 8 applications and importantly the ability to create them on the move.
Little is known about the tablets full specification other than there will be two models – Windows 8 RT (ARM Processor) and Windows 8 Pro (Intel Core).
To quote Steve Ballmer (Microsoft CEO) the Surface is designed to “Surface your passions, Surface your ideas, Surface your creativity and Surface your enjoyment”. Somerset Web Services are certainly passionate about creating and developing new ideas – needless to say but we enjoy it too!
Rumoured release dates are October – we don’t see this as an iPad but a potentially useful development tablet.
